Lewis-Burke Associates has provided campus with a report about a new request for information (RFI) from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS), with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). They are seeking information to assist in the development and publication of a Global AI Research Agenda, which will provide guidance on global AI-related research objectives and implementation. The Global AI Research Agenda will seek to utilize global research partnerships to develop and promote international research principles and AI research best practices; set AI research priorities (including the impacts of AI on humanity); and analyze the implications of AI on the global labor market. Responses to this RFI are due by April 10, 2024.
