On May 22, the House of Representatives passed its comprehensive tax legislation, H.R 1 the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” by a 215-214-1 vote, following approval by the House Committee on Rules after a day-long committee mark-up. Several committees in the House of Representatives held markups over the past two weeks to develop and approve policies for the chamber’s version of its reconciliation bill.
