Lewis-Burke Associates has provided campus with an update on the current federal state of play in biotechnology, synthetic biology, and the bioeconomy. This update features an engagement opportunity through the National Science Foundation (NSF): Catalyzing Across Sectors to Advance the Bioeconomy (CASA-Bio), which aims to help set federal cross-sector priorities in the wide-ranging biotechnology space. NSF encourages interested stakeholders to participate in a series of upcoming CASA-Bio town halls and share their priorities relevant to climate change solutions, food and agricultural innovation, supply chain resilience, human health, and cross-cutting advances. This document also highlights various reports and resources that may be of interest to the research, higher education, and academic medicine communities.
