Lewis-Burke Associates has provided campus with an update on the current federal state of play in biotechnology, synthetic biology, and the bioeconomy. This edition features an overview of bioeconomy-relevant provisions in the fiscal year (FY) 2024 appropriations packages and in the FY 2025 President’s budget request. It also highlights funding opportunities from the National Science Foundation (NSF) connected to bioeconomy topics, an update on the newly launched National Bioeconomy Board, and a selection of resources and reports that may be of interest to the research, higher education, and academic medicine communities.
