Funding Opportunity: USAID Invites Concept Notes for New Strategic Partnerships for Advancing Research and Knowledge (SPARK) Program

Lewis-Burke Associates has provided campus with a report about the USAID's opportunity for concept notes to support the new Strategic Partnerships for Advancing Research and Knowledge (SPARK) Program.  SPARK is rare opportunity provided by USAID focused on Institutions of Higher Education that will enable research between the U.S. and USAID partner countries on international development challenges and solutions.  SPARK Awardee(s) will work with USAID to co-design/co-create research structures and opportunities to deliver development outcomes, focusing on three priority areas: locally-led research, U.S. and local/low and middle-income country (LMIC) partnerships, and in-country capacity building.  USAID will award $2.5 million in year one to support core operational costs and support pilot subawards; with up to $75 million available over five years.  Concept notes are due to USAID by April 8, 2024.
