Lewis-Burke Associates has provided campus with a report about the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Long-Range BAA's Global-X Challenge. The Global-X challenge provides opportunities for international researchers to collaborate on multi-national, multidisciplinary teams that can spur innovative and groundbreaking advances for Navy and Marine science and technology (S&T) capabilities through basic and applied research. The 2024 Global-X Challenge seeks to develop revolutionary defense capabilities that can advance military and commercial value in the following research challenge areas: “Subsea Object Detection and Identification (Underwater and Seabed); Personal Expeditionary Power and Energy; and High Latitude High Bandwidth Communications.”
