Lewis-Burke Associates has provided campus with a report about the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC)—Crane Division's Long Range Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) that aims to support Department of Defense and U.S. Navy technical capabilities. The broad focus of NSWC Crane is “Harnessing the Power of Technology for the Warfighter” by providing in-service engineering and technical support for surface sensors, strategic systems, special warfare devices, and electronic warfare systems. The BAA calls for research in the 6.1-6.4 technology readiness level (TRL) range proposals that advance and improve NSWC Crane’s three focus areas: Expeditionary Warfare, Strategic Missions, and Electronic Warfare, which support ten assigned technical capabilities (TCs).
