Federal Funding Opportunities for Research Related to PFAS

February 1, 2024

Lewis-Burke Associates has provided camus with a report about open or anticipated PFAS-related funding calls across the federal government for which higher education institutions and other independent research institutions may be eligible. Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) are a class of thousands of synthetic chemicals that have become integral to the manufacturing of and a component in a wide variety of products.  Over the last few decades, however, there has been an increasing recognition of human and environmental health impacts associated with exposure to these chemicals.  This is especially concerning since PFAS do not biodegrade.  As public attention to PFAS has grown, so has attention from Congress and several agencies, resulting in myriad opportunities for research and engagement.
